The Links Golf Society at Mountain Shadow Golf Course.

The end of the first week of the year sees the links crew trundle up the highway to the improving Mountain Shadow Golf Course. It was once regarded as an ordinary golf course but improved greatly over the last 2 years.

The fairways were in excellent conditions and the greens were as tricky as ever.

We had 28 starters for this Friday’s event and had a lot of countback and great scores on this tough track .

Today’s greenjacket winner on a countback was Huw Phillips with 39 points from Steve Elle’s also on a great score of 39 . Third was Dave Dunne closely behind with 38 and another countback seperating Morgan Svensen and Steve Moxey both finishing on 36 points .

Mountain Shadow was obviously playing easier than usual with many of the golfers carding very respectable scores.
