We finished the opening week of the 2025 with a trip down to Rayong to play Eastern Star golf club.
This time of year the courses are extremely busy so a bit of patience is required.
We took 10 groups playing off the white tees at 6575 yards and only 2 players beat their handicap in another tightly contested competition.
Today’s winner was school teacher Steve Wiggins with 38pts. Steve doesn’t get to play as often as he would like as he works over here in Thailand at a local school.

2 place went to my pal Donal Coffey with 37pts. It looked like he wasn’t coming today as we were loading the buses but after only a couple of hours sleep he put in a great performance at a tough course.
3rd place went to that man again the smiling assassin with the pearly white teeth Chris Barker with 36pts.
4th place was The pool team captain John McGee with a solid 33pts.
5th place went The Strangler Greg Smith who’s fine form continues with 32pts.
The last 2 places were on a count back with Mark Johnstone beating Martin Evans both with 31pts.
We had 6 more new comers today and the society keeps on growing. Thanks to everyone who keeps supporting us.
