The course was in good shape but the greens were pretty slow but it’s such good value at Greenwood.
We had a nice early tee off at 9.20am with nobody out in front of us so we done pretty rapidly.
We played A & B 9s at 6500 yards in very soft conditions so it was playing pretty long and not 1 golfer out of 8 groups broke par so that shows the difficulty of this course.
It was an extremely tight competition today with 1 shot separating all the places and a 4 way countback.
Todays winner was the always consistent Rich Moore with 35pts edging victory by
One shot.
2nd place was my playing partner Martin Evans with 34pts winning a 4 way countback with 19pts on his back 9.
3rd place was my other playing partner Mark Johnstone also with 34pts and 17pts on the back which then went into his last 6 then last 3 then final hole countback.
4th place went to Quinton Murphy with 34pts but best gross of the day shooting 75 off a 1 handicap.
The last spot was myself also with 34 pts and 17pts on the back 9. It was a great battle and a really enjoyable day.
