A big thanks to Greg Smith and Martin Evans for looking after everything whilst I was away.
This months Tenzing Day was held at Eastern Star golf club where we had 7 groups battling for a place in this years race to Phuket.
We played the white tees at 6575 yards in soft conditions so it was playing pretty long but we don’t always want massive scores and it was a great test of golf.
There were only 2 players to just break par today and they had to be separated on a count back.
Today’s winner had an incredible score of 1 under par scoring 37pts off a scratch handicap, congratulations to Rocky Jones who becomes the 4th qualifier of the year for the Race to Phuket.
Great round on a tough golf course.
2nd place went to Rob Black also with 37pts but also came in with a near pin and a share of the 2s pot.
3rd place was Mikael Anderson with an impressive 35pts playing this event for the first time and also claiming a near pin.
4th place was the happy scouser Adam Barton with 34pts. Adam nipped backed to Liverpool to celebrate the title win and then straight back to Pattaya in fine form.
5th place was the Captain Johnny McGee
With a solid 32pts just beating Steve Elles on a count back who finished in the final podium place.
Thanks to Craig McAvinue and the Tenzing team for another great day and we look forward to the Four man Scramble at the end of the month at Pattavia.
