The final outing of the week took us to Phoenix Gold which was a massive disappointment and the worst condition I’ve ever seen it. I have removed it from our schedule now it was that bad.
We had 8 groups turn up today and to be fair the players made the best of a bad situation and there were still some great scores come in.
We played the white tees on the lakes and ocean 9s at just over 6000 yards.
It was a close competition today with 3 players managing to break par but the stand out score and winner today went to Ron Wilson with a fantastic score of 40pts securing his 1st win with us.
2nd place went to Mark Haylock with a great score of 38pts
3rd place was Allan Smith with 37pts and an unbelievable 24pts on his back 9.
4th place went to Andrew Purdie with a solid 36pts
5th place went to John McGee with 35pts beating Michael Beehag on a count back who secured the final podium spot in 6th.
