BILLY HEADS OFF ROBERT AT ROYAL LAKESIDE.
Despite many of our golfers returning home over the weekend, the Olde Rogues still had good numbers for their visit to the pristine Royal Lakeside. Despite being further away, Royal Lakeside is a splendid golf course and in great condition. The only downside, and this is nothing to do with Royal Lakeside, was the time it took to get round. Four hours 40 minutes is a ridiculous time to play 18 holes of golf.
As for the golf, 6 handicapper Robert Cha played the front 9 in one under par for 22 points. 15 handicapper Billy Buchanan was 3 over for 23 points. Billy`s 17 points on the much more difficult back 9 was enough to see him stay ahead of Robert and win by 2 points. Billy and Robert were well ahead of 3rd and 4th place players Brian Byrne and Mike Ehlert.
