LOCAL KNOWLEDGE PROVES WINNING IS EASY

The last day of the week the links crew moved into Eastern Star Golf Course for a single Stableford challenge.
Overcast conditions with threatening rain greeted the links crew ,even though rain was predicted ,it never eventuated and the weather was probably as good as it gets .
Eastern Star was as per usual ,very good .lush fairways and tricky green were the norm.
Today’s greenjacket winner with 36 points was Karl Flood .Being a local member enabled Karl to stay out of trouble all day proving that knowledge is golden .
Aussie troubled soul Kye Parkes had 34 points ,slightly better than minutes slept, A remarkable effort .
Third on a countback was mister consistent George Mueller winning on a countback from Ken Ishakowa also on 32.
The third hole was for a bucket of beers . A difficult 172 yard into the wind . A perfect 6 iron to 2 foot from Toby Glass prevailed and nobody else got close.

The links golf community sends all there condolences to the family of Len Jones who was buried yesterday in Pattaya.
