Interesting Emerald
On Tuesday we went to the Emerald with 3 groups. It was a nice day with sun and a good breeze. The course was in good condition, but still not easy. There many situations on the course not easy to play. We had an interesting competition.
Steve Sturley and Maurice Paradis fought an exciting battle. Steve had a good front nine and Marice was better on the back nine, but he just missed I point to equalize. Steve won with 34 stable ford points and Maurice was runner up with 33 points.
The near pins were for Allen Cassin and Maurice Paradis.
The spoon was grabbed by Seamus Oconnor.
Seamus Oconnor’ s comeback at Treasure Hill
On Thursday was our venue, Treasure Hill. It was a special day to celebrate Mark Bromwich birthday. We had a good turnout wit 5 groups. It was a beautiful sunny with a nice breeze. The course was in reasonable condition with good greens. It promised to become an interesting day. Despite the good conditions is it still a difficult course to play.
Golf is an interesting game. One day you are on the bottom and the next day on the top. In our case happened it to Seamus Oconnor. Tuesday, he had the spoon and now he was unbeatable with 39 stable ford points. Runner up became David Smith with 34 points, beating Alan Wilson and Willem Lasonder on the count back.
The near pins were for Paul Davies, Dave Smith, Bob Edwards and Willem Lasonder.
The spoon was for Nigel Irvine, last week winner.
After coming back to MyBar we celebrated Mark’s birthday with enough drinks and cake.
