That’s another golfing week finished as we edge ever nearer to Christmas
Today we made the short trip down to play Silky Oak.
On arrival it was another beautiful day but a very strong wind again.
We played the white tees 6360 yards.
The course was in good shape, the greens
ran pretty well and it’s always good fun playing this quirky golf course.
There were some very good scores today and a count back had to decide the result!
Today’s winner has just arrived back for his annual winter trip and got his debut win with us…. Congratulations to the Captain
Dave Heyes with 40pts scoring 23pts on his back 9 to claim victory.
2nd place was myself also with 40pts but the 5 birdies were not enough today!
I’m back down to a 6 handicap now so hopefully get to 5 before the years out.
3rd place went Joe Earls who very nearly missed the bus but went on to score a solid 35pts. Well played Joe.
4th place was the Grinder himself Pat Lavin with 34pts. Even on a tough day Pat will always make a score!
The last spot went to Jeff Tyson with 32pts
Thanks to Greg and Pat for your Help always appreciate it.
