Hard working at Pleasant Valley
On Tuesday we went with 3 groups to Pleasant Valley. It was a hot and humid day, but we were lucky the rain waited until we were finished. The course was in reasonable condition after the rain the night before. Everybody had problems with the slow greens, as you can see at the results.
It was an exciting round with many players just above the 30’s. For the victory we had 2 33’s. After a lot of calculation won Allan Cassin with 33 stable ford points. He beat Neale Savery on the count back of the last 6.
Maurice was proud to receive the spoon.
The near pins were for Dave Smith, Allan Cassin, Bob Edwards and Mike Malott.
Challenging Plutaluang
On Thursday was our venue Plutaluang, where we the East and South loop played.
It was again a hot day and we missed a cool breeze. The course was in reasonable condition, but had also many dry spots. Hopefully the rain will recover the course soon.
It was again a day where many players were very close. The course was difficult enough for breaking personal handicaps. It was the day of the Al(l)an’s. Remarkable was that the most of us played a better back nine than front nine. Alan/Edward Eden and Allan Cassin kept each good in balance, but Alan/Edward was just better on the back nine. He won with 35 stable ford points, beating Allan Cassin on the count back.
Mike Malott was the spoon man.
The near pins were for Willem Lasonder, Maurice Paradis, Bob Edwards and Allan Cassin.
The near pins were for Alan Wilson and Mick Bryan
