St. Patricks Cup
On Tuesday we went to Pattavia. It was a special day and we played for the St. Patrick’s Cup. For the third time Seamus Oconnor was so attent to make available the trophies for this event. There was a good turnout and 4 played with 4 groups.
It was a nice overcast day, also not to hot. The course was in very good condition and we enjoyed our game. It was a day for good results.
All the competitors did their best to win the trophy. It was an exciting battle in the top 5. But at the end controlled Willem Lasonder his nerves the best with a strong back nine. He won with 40 stable ford points. Runner up was Patrick Troy with 38 points and Bob Edwards was third with 36 points.
After returning to MyBar we had an extensive presentation, well organized by Don.

On Thursday was our venue Crystal Bay, where we the C & A loop played. We were curious how the course would be after the rain on Wednesday. The course was not in top condition. The rain caused many wet places. Furthermore, you could see that the course had suffered on the long dry period. The bunkers were also in bad condition. The weather was again cloudy and there was a strong breeze.
The runner up of Tuesday showed that he is in good form this week. Patrick Troy played a consistent round and won with 38 stable ford points. Robert Charbonneau could follow him long time but just not long enough. He was the runner up with 35 points.
The near pins were for Allan Cassin, Gary Lees, Robert Charbonneau and Maurice Paradis.
