News Update...

The PSC monthly competition at Pleasant Valley on 23 December 2024

NEWSFLASH

As from 26th July 2024 the Silver Tees which were previously developed by PSC for Male Member Golfers to use have now been Deactivated in the Pattaya Sports Club Handicap System, the remaining options are, White, Yellow and Red. Previously Male Golfers could not enter a score against the Red Tees as they were primarily set aside for Female Golf Members. This has now been revised in order that Males can now enter a score against the aforementioned Tees. I trust this does not cause any issues with our members. Hopefully the changes will simplify the current Handicap System and better suit the members as we will be playing off recognised Yardages in keeping with the world Handicap System and defined Yardages on the Golf Courses we play.
Should there be any issues regarding this. Please contact myself either by email- johnfeeney01@gmail.com or Telephone – 0652306892

Best Regards
John Feeney

Dear Pattaya Sports Club Members,

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of Robert Clark, one of our founding members. Robert’s dedication and passion for our club were instrumental in shaping it into the community it is today.
Let us take a moment to honor Robert’s contributions and the memories we shared with him. Our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.

Exciting News: Pattaya Sports Club Handicapping System and Birdie Thailand Handicapping System Merge!

Dear Golfing Community,

We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you regarding a significant development in our golfing community. The Pattaya Sports Club Handicapping System and the Birdie Thailand Handicapping System are merging! This marks a significant step forward for all golfers in the Pattaya region and beyond, with the aim to enhance the game of golf and simplify the administration of golf handicaps.

Here are the key details of this merger:
1) Unified Handicap System: We are merging to create a unified handicapping system. This consolidation will streamline the handicapping process and improve the overall golfing experience for everyone.
2) Member Choice: All Pattaya Sports Club members will have the option to choose between using Birdie Thailand handicap system or continuing to use the PSC System.
3) Continued Access for Birdie Members: For all Birdie Handicap System members, you can continue to use the Birdie System free of charge. The only change is that the Pattaya Sports Club team will be available to assist you with any questions or issues you may encounter, such as password resets. You can Use info@pattayasports.org to get in touch
4) No Requirement to Join Pattaya Sports Club: It’s important to note that you will not be required to join the Pattaya Sports Club to continue using Birdie. However, we would like to emphasise that joining the Pattaya Sports Club comes with numerous benefits, including substantial discounts on golf course green fees.
5) Negotiating Power: This merger will empower the Pattaya Sports Club to negotiate better discounts at golf courses for its members, making membership even more attractive in the future.
6) The Reason Behind the Change: The decision to merge both systems has been made to align our efforts and resources for the benefit of all golfers. Birdie was created out of frustration with the handicap administration eight years ago, and now, under the leadership of their new president, Ty Anderson, and Golf Chairman, Gerry Conway, it’s the perfect time to bring these two systems together for the betterment of the golfing community.

We are excited about the opportunities this merger brings and are committed to making the transition as smooth as possible for all members. If you have any questions or need assistance during this process, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to a brighter and more unified future for golf in Pattaya.

Best regards,
Shane
