The competition was very kindly sponsored by Scottie Smith / Pumpui Restaurant, and it was great to see Scottie picking up the prize as Flight B winner.
We had an excellent turnout with 7 groups and teed off right on schedule at 10:30am. The men played from the white tees, while the ladies played from the red tees. Pleasant Valley was in good condition, and scoring was very hot on the day.
A number of players shot above their handicap, but nobody could catch our overall winner Tony Oakes, who posted an outstanding 44 points. Close behind were May with 43 points and Urban Nordstrom with 42.
After golf, we returned to Magic Bar for the presentation. To mark the Golfer of the Year event, Deano held a special draw where one lucky player had their bar bill paid. Congratulations to Jeff North, who was the lucky winner!
