Not only was it the Duncan Maclean sponsored 2-person scramble, but we were also celebrating our good friend Woody’s birthday! 
We had an excellent turnout of 11 groups (44 players). Aside from a short but heavy 10-minute shower, the weather and playing conditions were spot on. Plenty of golfers embraced the St Patrick’s spirit, with lots of green on show — including some very questionable green hair and beards! 
We played courses C & A from the white tees, which proved to be a stern test, especially with some tricky pin positions. The course, as always, was in great condition.
After golf, we returned to Magic Bar where everyone enjoyed a fantastic buffet prepared by Gifsy and her team, followed by presentations and a long night of celebrations for Woody’s birthday! 
Woody also generously sponsored two barrels of Guinness, which needless to say, were enjoyed by all and went down extremely well! 
Before the presentation, we also congratulated society member Rocky Jones on qualifying for the Thailand Seniors Golf Tour — a fantastic achievement
