Our mid-week game saw us travel to Bang Pakong which, judging by the weather on the way home, proved to be a very good choice as we got around without a drop of rain. The course was a lot quieter and we got away more or less as soon as we arrived. Bang Pakong is certainly one, if not the best, value for money on our schedule. With the PSC voucher system at 1600 baht all-in it is hard to think of a better value for money course. The course itself was in excellent condition with pristine fairways and fast greens.
It was a sad farewell to our Aussie friends, Maurie Denton and John Coey. As always, you were great company and will be sadly missed.
As for the golf, we had another first-time winner with the great Dane, Asgard. On previous occasions, scores in the 40`s normally wins at Bang Pakong but not today, with Asgard`s 36 heading the field. There were 3 scores of 34 with David Foster edging out John Browning and John Coey on countbacks.
RESULTS:
1st Place Asgard (13) – 36
2nd Place David Foster (17) – 34 c/b
3rd Place John Browning (17) – 34 c/b
4th Place John Coey (19) – 34
