The Links crew rolled into Eastern Star Golf & Country Club, a course designed by none other than Robert Trent Jones Jr., who clearly had a mischievous streak when he laid out those greens – because they were up to their usual tricks again! Subtle breaks, slippery slopes, and enough speed to make a few putters tremble.
Despite that, the scores were tight at the top, with Mark Smith (18) claiming victory on countback with 34 points, narrowly edging out Michael Lupton (
who also had 34. Grant Pride (
and Enisco (29) weren’t far behind, both posting solid 33-point rounds – proving that nobody got away unscathed by those Eastern Star greens.
Hole 6 – Enisco (who’s clearly enjoying his time on the podium)
Hole 13 – Rom Morish (rumor has it his ball stopped just because it ran out of fear)
All in all, it was another fun, sun-soaked (and occasionally swear-filled) day out for The Links Golf Society. The golf may have been tricky, but the sledging was relentless
