It was another fine (and occasionally frustrating) day out at Pleasant Valley, where the course name promised calm—but the lightning-fast greens had other ideas. Anyone who found themselves putting downhill today may still be chasing their ball somewhere near Chonburi.
Leading the charge with ice in his veins and a putter that actually behaved was Soren Hansen (20), taking top spot with a fine 39 points. Right on his heels, Petur Peterson (
proved once again that consistency is his middle name, finishing just one point behind on 38. In third, Mark Smith (18) played solid golf all day, carding 37 points and a smile that said, “I finally beat my countback nemesis.”
Near pins:
Hole 5 – Soren Hansen (who clearly wasn’t done showing off)
Hole 17 – Steve Elles, proving accuracy still counts for something.
All in all, a great day at Pleasant Valley—some putted, some prayed, and some swore—but everyone left with stories and a few three-putts to forget.
