End of the holiday week saw the Links crew roll into the famously unorganised Plutaluang golf course — a place where caddies and carts were rarer than honest handicaps. Some golfers were forced into share-a-caddy, share-a-cart, share-the-misery arrangements… but somehow the golf still happened.

It didn’t bother the Green Jacket winner, who rose above the chaos like a golfer who actually packed his patience of a zen master
John Sykes playing off (14 )mastering the course like a true local with 36 points

2nd – Steve Baker (19)
A tidy 34 points on a countback, proving once again that Steve thrives in disorder.

Third– Soren Hansen (17)
The ever-consistent Soren, finishing second and probably wondering how Steve beat him again.

Fourth– Grant Pride (7)
A steady 33 points from Grant, still regretting every putt that burned the edge.

Hole 3 – The much-travelled Pete Shaw, who somehow stuck it close but then missed the smallest putt ever recorded in human history for par. Rumour is the ball moved a full 2 inches.

Hole 12 – Mal Newstead with a strong 6-iron to 2 feet, just edging out the very unlucky Dave Elliot — both walked away with birdies, but only one walked away with bragging rights.
