We had 8 groups of very festive golfers many playing here for the first time.
The course and the facilities are some of the very best around and we are always treated so well.
The greens were absolutely perfect, fairways like carpets, bright sunshine so you couldn’t ask for better playing conditions.
Out of all the players only one just made it under par. There were a few hangovers but still I was expecting a 40 pointer but the wind did get up so that’s the only excuse.
Today’s winner is much more used to these conditions than Pattavia or greenwood having played in the Ryder Cup and won 3 times on the European Tour.

2nd place went to my old pal from Kilkenny
Colm Lawlor with 36pts. I had the pleasure of playing with Colm and Steve today and Colms back 9 of 23pts was great to see.
3rd place went to Gaz Craig with 35pts starting very slow with 11pts on the front but an unbelievable 24pts coming home.
4th place was Frank Sullivan also with 35pts missing out on a countback but still another good score.
The last 2 spots went to Tom Handley with 34pts beating Paul Gill on a countback to finish the podium places.
