There was a fantastic turn out of 43 players all trying to conquer the famous Monkey Course.
We played the white tees as usual at 6500 yards in very cloudy conditions but we managed to avoid the rain.
Out of the huge field only 3 players bettered their handicap so it shows what a tough course this is especially the slick greens.
Todays winner has played with us several times now and he played a great back 9 of 22 points to win on a count back
Congratulations to Charchy Sacma with 39pts to secure his first win with us.
2nd place was the ever consistent Steve Elles who has just joined and very unlucky not to get his first victory also scoring a fantastic 39pts
3rd place was John Rabbit with 37pts.
John had an excellent front 9 of 21pts but a scratch on the 18th cost him victory.
4th place was my good old pal the very popular Greg Smith with 33pts and he was shy in letting everyone know he beat Steve Richardson in his 4 ball but Steve beat him at drinking afterwards lol
5th place was the very likeable Martin Evans with 32pts after a slow start Martin finished strong with 19pts on the back 9.
6th place went to the the man himself Steve Richardson with 32pts making light work of some of the par 5s but still adjusting to playing off crab grass fairways.
Apparently you don’t get that on the European Tour lol.
7th place was Leo Hermoso with 31pts a solid display after just arriving in town from the Philippines.
The last spot went to a great guy that everyone likes Lawrie McBride also with 31pts just missing out on a count back.
