Another hot day but the wind helped cool the players down all day, a little late starting due to some other groups ahead of us but pace of play was decent.
We mixed it up a little today playing from the yellow tees at just over 6000 yards, still never easy to score well here given the very slick greens.
Today’s winners was myself with 39pts, my first blob free round since time began and my first win in 6 months, hopefully turning a corner but still plenty of work to be done to get back down towards single figures.
2nd place went to my playing partner, the blue envelope hoarder himself Phil Starrett with 38pts, another great round and a good enjoyable battle all day.
3rd place went to the very friendly Mike Elhert with 36pts, a very good round and nice to see you back playing with us Mike.
Solid rounds again from Chris Barker and Tobias Mertens both with 35pts just missing out to Mike.
The last game this trip for a couple of our regulars, safe travels to Brad Stallard, Bill Hogan and Tobias Mertens, been great having you all around and see you all later in the year.
Monday we are at Royal Lakeside and we have a very special day at Thai Country Club on Thursday, it’s our first trip there as a society and not to be missed, sign up sheets in the bar.
