The course was in great shape after all the bad weather but the greens were much slower which took some getting used to.
We played the yellow tees for a change as there wasn’t as much run as usual.
All the top 3 were in my group today and needless to say I finished 4th and the slump in form continues.
Today’s winner is in the form of his life but he puts the hours in practicing and improving his game. His handicap has gone from 18 down to 12 this year which is pretty impressive and now in reach of his single figure target.
Congratulations again to Jordan Brown with 39pts winning on a countback for his 3rd win in as many outings.
2nd place went to the loveable scouser who’s not swung a club for 6 weeks. Adam had a fantastic front 9 with 21pts and thought he had won it with 19pts coming home but after checking PSC his handicap had come down a shot giving him 18pts and losing on the countback.
3rd place was the pocket rocket from Preston with 34pts. Gary is like a machine finding fairways but struggled with the putter and these tricky greens.
