As the month of April draws to a close we made our usual journey up to the magnificent Bangpakong Riverside.
The course was in great condition and the greens were especially good. They ran perfectly but were so receptive which made for some great scoring today.
We played the whites tees at 6400 yards and the 5 groups put some fantastic rounds together.
Todays winner was a debut winner although I have known him for many years
Congratulations to Robert Cha with an unbelievable round of 45pts shooting 1 under off a handicap of 8 to clinch victory.
2nd place was the very likeable Kev Thompset with 42pts scoring 24pts on his back 9 and on most days would have been the winner. Safe trip back to Australia great to see you mate.
3rd place Rob Hopson also with 42pts just missing out on a countback but a great round nevertheless.
4th place was my playing partner and great friend Jordan Brown with 41pts who putted like a god today. When walking off the 18th I was convinced he had won … how wrong was I lol.
5th place was my other playing partner Tim Shaw who just arrived from Australia last night and went straight out and shot a splendid 39pts. Great start to the trip pal.
6th place went to the big man from Sweden Jens Svensson with a very respectable 38pts.
Lowest gross score went to the man who always plays well here Rocky Jones who shot level par and 36pts off scratch.
