We ended the week with the short trip to Eastern star golf course, we managed to avoid any rain but I’m not sure I’ve ever felt as hot on a golf course, the humidity was something else.
The course played pretty long as rain from the night before meant we wasn’t getting much roll out from our drives.
We played the white tees at 6500 yards and nobody came close to beating their handicap today.
Today’s winner was also running the day with Martin in Phil’s absence.
Congratulations to the big Aussie Greg Smith, those Leo’s during the round proving vital to stay hydrated in the scorching conditions and got you over the line with 32 points.
2nd place went to Arthur Tatterstall with a decent 31 points.
3rd place went to the bridesmaid Steve Ells also with 31 points but losing out on count back after an impressive 18 points on the front 9.
A big thanks for Martin and Greg for running the show, don’t forget where possible to put names on the sheets in the bar and include if you require transport for any future rounds.
