Pattaya Sports Hub Golf Society is at Bangpakong Riverside Country Club.

After some wild storms on Sunday night we wondered whether golf would be on at Bangpakong on Monday but all was good and it turned out to be one of the hottest days in some time.

We welcomed back lots of old regulars and a few more new comers which was great.

There were 7 groups competing today and we played the white tees as usual at 6400 yard in soft conditions but that didn’t stop some really good scoring.

The course held up really well to the storm on Sunday evening the fairways here are always fantastic but the greens a little slower than usual.

It’s was another tight competition with 3 shots separating the podium places.

Today’s winner has been with us for a few weeks now and fully deserves his win congratulations to Phil Starrett with 40pts shooting 20pts on each 9 but winning on a countback which he took on the last 3 holes. Great round pal.

2 place was my playing partner the big Kiwi and deviant Tony Wheeler also with 40pts and 20pts on each of his 9 holes. Very unlucky to miss out on the win.

Great company as always lots of laughs mainly at Kevs Expense!

3rd place went to my other playing partner the Big hitting American Shane Thomason

With 39pts. Shane had a fantastic back 9 scoring 22pts and had he not bogied the par 5 last he would have won the day.

Nevertheless a great round.

4th place was the lovely Emm Maume with 39pts just missing out to Shane on a countback with 21pts on her back 9.

Emm always competes so well with the men even out swearing Jordan which is a tough thing to do lol.

The last spot went to Rocky jones with 37pts shooting 1 under par gross.
