The midweek competition took us to Pleasantvalleygolf Club which was again in great condition and is a very good layout.
We played the white tees at just under 6000 yards in perfect sunny conditions.
Despite it not being a long golf course we never get crazy low scores here and today was no different.
Only 2 players managed to shoot under their handicaps and only 2 shots separated first to fifth place.
Today’s winner has found his form again over the last few weeks so congratulations to Chris Barker with 37pts winning on a count back. Chris’s winnings have gone a long way to pay for his stunning new turkey teeth he’s had fitted lol.
2nd place went another new comer and very likeable Gary Casson also with 37pts
Gary had a fantastic front 9 with 22pts but choked coming homing for his first win.
3rd place went to the craziest, funny Irishman I know Ollie Walsh with 36pts on his last round before heading home.
Thanks for the laughs Ollie you will be missed have a safe trip home.
4th place went to the lovely Poppy also with 36pts and a near hole in 1 as well.
Pop had 23pts on the front 9 but couldn’t quite keep it going for the win.
5th place was myself with a solid 35pts
But the putter was pretty cold all day however I finally got to 5.9 handicap so not far to achieve my goal by the end of the year to be a 5
