It’s one of them Courses people either love or hate but it’s always in great condition although someone needs to have a word with the green keeper about pin positions!
We played the white tees at just over 6000 yards but it’s not the length here you need to be accurate with your shots and have a good short game to succeed.
There were 5 groups and not a single player beat their handicap which wasn’t a surprise especially as most of the field scratched the 17th hole with the most ridiculous pin position ever.
The surprise today was who won he’s been out of form for some time but what a time to turn it around. Congratulations to a very popular winner Frankie McCardle with 36pts winning by 3 shots. I’m sure he will still be out now celebrating! If you see Ginger bloke with a massive red head and a trophy send him home lol.
2nd place went to the big kiwi fresh back from Vietnam for some soul searching but finding some form as well was Tony Wheeler with 33pts
3rd place went Drew Cranswick with 32pts on his final day with us. It’s been a pleasure having you and Devon play golf with us have a safe journey home mate.
4th place was Happy Joe Dourley also with 32pts just missing out on a count back.
The last spot went to the noisy Aussie who has been in the prizes a lot lately….
