🌧️ Wet Pleasant Valley
It was a pleasure to welcome our Canadian friends Maurice Paradis and Robert Charbonneau back to Pattaya. After a rainy Monday, we feared soggy fairways and a cart ban—and indeed, carts were restricted. Still, the course held up reasonably well.
The weather turned out quite pleasant: overcast skies with a refreshing breeze. We had a strong turnout and an engaging competition. While it wasn’t a day for record-breaking scores, Allan Cassin and Seamus O’Connor rose to the challenge. Allan’s steady play earned him the win with 37 Stableford points, followed closely by Seamus with 35.
Willem Lasonder, still adjusting to our society’s new name, took home the spoon this time.

⛅ Beautiful Mountain Shadow
Thursday’s outing brought us to the scenic Mountain Shadow, where we again enjoyed a solid turnout with three flights. The morning was overcast, but by late morning the sun broke through, accompanied by a gentle breeze. The course was in excellent shape, though still a touch damp from the week’s earlier rains.
Scores were modest, but the competition remained spirited. Willem Lasonder bounced back from Tuesday’s spoon with a strong performance, claiming victory with 36 Stableford points. Maurice Paradis followed closely with 34 points.
Mark Bromwich, unfortunately, had to bow out early due to stomach troubles and ended up with the spoon.
