PLEASANT VALLEY

On a cool and agreeable Tuesday morning, 18 players gathered at MyBar for coffee before heading to Pleasant Valley. The course was in fine condition, and the weather made for an enjoyable day of golf.

The competition was lively, with even the near-pin challenges proving tough. One man stood out: Alan Edward Eden, who delivered a flawless front nine with 25 Stableford points. Though his back nine was less dominant, his overall score of 41 points secured a clear victory. Dave Smith claimed runner-up with 36 points, edging out Nigel Irvine on countback.

Mark Bromwich, meanwhile, found himself at spoon level.

Near pins: Allan Cassin, Dave Smith, Sam Jeffery, Alan Edward Eden.

CRYSTAL BAY

Thursday brought us to Crystal Bay, where the weather was once again beautiful. Although the turnout was smaller than Tuesday, three strong flights took to the course.

The course was in excellent condition but played tough, with only one golfer managing to beat his handicap. The day’s standout was Seamus O’Connor, who posted 38 Stableford points. Our Canadian guest Mark Beaudoin followed with 34 points to secure second place. Monic Desrochers took home the spoon.

We bid farewell to our Canadian friends, wishing them enough sunshine to carry through the snowy season back home.

Near pins: Seamus O’Connor, Monic Desrochers, Robert Charbonneau (2X).
