Plutaluang South East
On an overcast Tuesday morning, we gathered for coffee at MyBar before heading out to Plutaluang with three groups. The temperature was pleasant, making it a perfect day for golf. The course was in excellent condition, setting the stage for an exciting competition.
At the halfway mark, Mike, Maurice, Alen, and Sam were neck‑and‑neck. On the back nine, however, Alen found his rhythm and pulled away, finishing with an impressive 39 Stableford points. He clearly has a special connection with this course, having also won the last time we played here. Paul Carver secured the runner‑up spot with 38 points, despite Neil Harvey’s strong finish.
Meanwhile, Gary, Bob, and Steve battled hard for the spoon. In the end, Steve was edged out on countback and took the spoon home.
Near pins: Neil Harvey, Robert Charbonneau, Gary Lees, and Maurice Paradis.
Mountain Shadow
Thursday brought us to Mountain Shadow, where cool, overcast weather made for another enjoyable day. Ten players joined the competition. The course was in very good condition, though challenging — no one managed to play to their handicap.
Bob Edwards stayed focused throughout and claimed victory with 34 Stableford points. Maurice Paradis followed closely with 33 points, edging out Tony Oakes on countback.
We also welcomed guest player John Clift, who received the spoon for his attendance.
Near pins: Maurice Paradis (2) and Bob Edwards.
