GREENWOOD
On a cloudy Tuesday morning we gathered at MyBar for coffee before heading out with 10 motivated players to Greenwood, where we played the A & B loops. It was a special occasion as Bob Edwards and Hidde Bijl joined us for their final game before returning home.
The course was, as always, in excellent condition. The overcast skies kept the temperature comfortable, and we managed to stay dry—the rain arrived only after we finished. Scores were solid, with many players in the 30s. Neil Harvey emerged as the man of the day, winning with 38 Stableford points. The runner-up spot was closely contested between Allan Cassin and Bob Edwards, both finishing on 36 points, but Allan edged Bob on countback.
Dave Smith wasn’t at his best and took home the spoon.

During the chat after coming back in MyBar we celebrated John Dean’s coming birthday with a nice fruit cake and baby Guinness.
PLEASANT VALLEY
Thursday’s venue was Pleasant Valley, where a smaller but spirited group of five players teed off. The day was again cloudy, and the course was in reasonable condition.
Dave Smith bounced back strongly after Tuesday’s disappointment, winning with 36 Stableford points. Rico Batt followed as runner-up with 34 points.
