On Tuesday morning, 17 motivated golfers gathered over coffee before heading out to the course. The day was bright with blue skies and a firm breeze, making conditions good but challenging.
Despite the wind, many players matched or bettered their handicaps. The competition was lively, but Nigel Irvine proved to be the standout performer. Playing consistently throughout, he secured victory with an impressive 39 Stableford points.
Two players tied for runner‑up with 37 points: Mike Malott and Robert Charbonneau. Since they marked each other’s cards, the countback decided the result—Malott edging out Charbonneau.
Ian Lingard, unfortunately, claimed the spoon once again.

Thursday’s venue was Eastern Star, with an early tee‑off scheduled. Heavy rain and wind accompanied the morning coffee, but by the time we arrived at the course, the skies had cleared and play was possible.
Eleven brave golfers took on the softened course, and the weather improved steadily, leaving us dry and enjoying a fantastic day. Despite the softer conditions, scores were strong, with several players meeting or exceeding their handicaps.
The day’s champion was Peter Chai Tsai, winning with 38 Stableford points. Tony Oakes secured runner‑up with 36 points, narrowly beating Bob Edwards on countback.
The spoon went to Allan Cassin, losing to Willem Lasonder on countback.
