MOUNTAIN SHADOW
On Tuesday we went with 17 players to Mountain Shadow. It was a good turnout for a difficult course. Some of us think it is the most difficult course we play. It was a nice day with sun and breeze. The course was in good condition with some dry spots on the fairways.
It was clear that it was a difficult course, because nobody broke his handicap. Surprisingly Willem Lasonder was in good shape today and won with 33 stable ford points. Runner up became Rober Charbonneau with 32 points.
Unfortunately, is Ian still looking at his form, but got rewarded with the spoon.
GREENWOOD
Greenwood was our venue for Thursday. We played the A & B loop. This course is loved by many of us and we had 19 players. It was already the last round for the Charland’s and Dave Lyon. It was a hard day, extremely hot and hundreds of fruit flies bussing around.
This is also a hard course. However receiving more strokes and the course in very well condition, was it impossible to hit your handicap. The stars of the day were Seamus Oconnor and Allan Cassin, both 34 stable ford points. Semus beat Allan on the count back.
The spoon was this time for Mike Malott, beaten by Paul Davies on the count back.
Only 2 near pins for Allan Cassin and Maurice Paradis.
