BANGPAKONG RIVERSIDE

On Tuesday, twelve motivated players made the long drive to Bangpakong. The day was hot and humid, testing everyone’s stamina, but the course was in perfect condition and a joy to play. The quality of the setup showed in the results—half the group managed to break their handicap.

One performance stood out above the rest: Bob Edwards delivered his best round since returning in October. Shaking off the “winter sleep,” he stormed to victory with 42 Stableford points, just six over par. Runner‑up was Mike Malott, who also impressed with a solid 39 points.

For Paul Davies, the heat proved too much, and he took home the spoon.

Near pins: Bob Edwards (2), Mick Bryan, and Seamus O’Connor.

PATTAVIA

Thursday’s venue was the famous “pineapple course,” Pattavia. Ten players turned out, full of energy despite another hot and humid day—a climate we’ll need to get used to in the coming months. The course was in good condition, though the tricky greens made scoring a challenge.

Even so, results were strong, with nearly everyone posting more than 30 Stableford points. Leading the way was Robert Charbonneau, continuing his fine form with 40 points. Dave Smith followed closely with 38, edging out Peter Pendlebury by a single point.

Maurice struggled to find his rhythm and went home with the spoon.

Near pins: Dave Smith, Allan Cassin, Peter Pendlebury, and Willem Lasonder.
