Great Britain & Ireland versus The Rest Of The World
On Tuesday 16th of December we had a fantastic turnout of 84 golfers ( 17 groups) playing the first day of the Magic bar annual Ryder Cup Tournament.
We played at Greenwood on courses A & B with a two tee start, the men played off white tees, and Ladies off red.
A big thank you to Brian Scott who stepped in as a last minute replacement for GB & I.
As well as the Ryder cup points to be played for there was also a two person better ball Stableford competition
And scoring was very good with a total of 49 and 48 points coming first and second.
However the main event of the day was the Ryder Cup competition
And after day one the score is as follows
GB & Ireland = 9
Rest of World =8
It’s all to play for on Friday when we hold the second and final round of matches once again at Greenwood.
