Mark Bromwich on fire at Yellow Crystal Bay
On Tuesday we went with 3 groups to Crystal Bay, where we the C & A loop played. It was a sunny day and actually no breeze enough. It is already too long dry and the course is suffering on it. Especially the tee boxes are in bad condition. The fairways are getting yellow, but are still in reasonable condition. The greens are in good condition.
We had an exciting competition with excellent scores. Nigel Irvine was in very good shape and played a perfect round from hcp 5. He made an eagle on C 2. However, his 36 points were not enough for the victory. Mark Bromwich was unstoppable and won with 42 stable ford points. Mick Bryan was runner up with 39 points.
Gary Lees went for the spoon.
The near pins were for Neale Savery, Allan Cassin and Bob Edwards.
Maurice Paradis conquered Pattaya Country Club
On Thursday was our venue Pattaya Country Club. We had a big turnout wit 20 players. It was again a nice warm day. The course was in good condition and the motivation for an exciting day was high.
It is always a surprise who will play outstanding. It was this time Maurice Paradis He played very consistent and made 4 birdies and became the winner with 41 stable ford points. Runner up was Alan Edward Eden with 39 points.
Dave Lea came back again and received the spoon.
The near pins were for Bob Edwards and Sam Jeffery.
