Challenging Mountain Shadow

On Tuesday we went to Mountain Shadow, where we played from the blues. It is a challenging course, especially today with a strong breeze. It is a mystery why the course is rated so easy. Many good strikes are always blocked or caught by the many trees. With the strong breeze today was it double difficult. The course was in good condition and the sun was shining.

Looking at the results we can determine, that we all were struggling around. Only the winner in the 30’s. Sam Jeffery was the most consistent and won with 30 points. Maurice Paradis was the runner up, beating Neil Harvey with 1 point on the count back.

Our new member Peter Chai Tsai could bring the spoon home.

The near pins were Sam Jefery and Maurice Paradis.

Windy Pattavia

On Thursday was our venue Pattavia. It was a nice day again, sunny and with a very strong breeze. The course was in good conditions except the bunkers. It looks like the caddies don’t like to rake the bunkers.

Although the greens are always a challenge on this course, we had much better results than Tuesday. It was an exciting battle for the victory. Alan Tookey kept his concentration and won with 38 stable ford points. Neale Savery was runner up with 37 points, beating Bob Edwards on the count back.

Nevertheless, Peter Chai Tsai played much better that Tuesday was the spoon again for him.

The near pins were for Bob Edwards, Allan Cassin and Alan Tookey.
