On Tuesday we went to Pattaya Country Club. It was a nice sunny day. The course was in good condition, but still too wet on some spots and the carts were not allowed on the fairways The greens were sometimes fast and sometimes not. We saw many 3 putts today.
Taking into account the circumstances we could expect some decent scores. The results were promising, but one result was more than exceptional. Gary Lees had his day and played very consistently. He won with 46 stable ford points. Runner up was Sam Jeffery with 37 points.
The spoon was for Willem Lasonder.
The near pins were for Neil Harvey, John Feeney and Allan Cassin.
On Thursday was our venue Plutaluang, where we the East and South loop played.
When we had our morning coffee at MyBar we looked at dark skies, afraid to have the same rain as Wednesday. But we took the challenge. When we came at the course it was dry and the course was in very good condition.
We had only 2 3-balls today, but enjoyed the game very much. No exceptional results today, just a fair result. Allan Cassin was the man of the day and won with 34 stable ford points. Steve Sturley was runner up with 33 points.
We gave the spoon to Neil Harvey for his trip to UK.
