Bob Edwards on fire
On Tuesday we went to Greenwood, where we the A & B loop played. We were impressed by the condition of the course. Beautiful green fairways and perfect. It was of course again a very hot day, but we were motivated to play a good round.
The circumstances were good and it promised to give some good results. Bob Edwards and Sam Jeffery were both in good shape and kept each other sharp. Bob was just 3 points better on the front nine. On the back nine was it a neck-on-neck race. Both held their nerves under control and scored 22 points. That means that Bob won with 44 stable ford points and Sam was second with 41 points.
The spoon was for John Feeney.
The near pins were for Sam Jeffery, Martin Hayes and John Feeney.
On Thursday was our venue Bangpra. It was a long time ago that we played there. It was as usual a hot day. The course was in good condition and the greens were super-fast. This was an extra challenge for everybody.
It was not possible to present the same results as Tuesday. But we have Bob Edwards in our group. He is in top form this week and played very consistently, winning with 36 stable ford points. Runner up was Martin Hayes with 33 points.
The spoon was for John Pegrum.
The near pins are for Neil Harvey and Mark Bromwich.
