Despite the Honda LPGA taking place at Siam Country Club, we still took 26 pairings to Pattavia for our monthly 2-man scramble. It was another hugely successful today with many thanks to the staff and starters at Pattavia along with Garry Chrystal and Dave Heyes for assisting in the starting duties. With 13 groups it was a long day but most enjoyable nevertheless.
It was a very tight affair with George Wilson and John Browning, nicely attired in their Olde Rogues Scotland shirts, just edging out Robert Cha and Young Min Ko with a net score of 64.50 to 64.75. Robert and Young Min completed quite an amazing statistic with an eagle 2 at the par 4 1st hole and an eagle 3 at the par 5 18th hole. Late starters Dave Heyes and Huw Phillips took 3rd place with a net 66.00. Fourth place went to Dean Windsor and Steve Mabbett with 66.50 courtesy of a 20-foot birdie putt on the last to beat Mark Kobrin and Peter Scott on a count back. Mark and Peter grossed a 4 under par front nine but the wheels came off at the close. The final podium place went to Emme and Terry Dreier with 67.00 beating Steve Doris and Patrick Haly on a countback.

On the 2nd of March we will be holding a Memorial Day for Phil Davies at Bang Pakong. The `sign up` has been posted on the Line Group. Phil was a true legend of the Pattaya golf scene and is sadly missed.
