Although it was a Thai Holiday, Mountain Shadow did not raise their prices which a lot of courses do for holidays. Like their sister course, Crystal Bay, Mountain Shadow is a very good test of golf with some excellent holes and although the facilities are not the best, the staff are courteous and professional. All said and done the 1250-baht green fee, caddy and cart cost plus the 300 competition and 300 transport charge, make it a bargain day out for 1850 baht.
John Reps is currently leading the Club Championship after 2 rounds and although he never made the podium at Mountain Shadow, he became the 5th player from the Olde Rogues to have a hole in one when he aced the 140 yards 15th hole. It was David Foster who was the only player to break par with 37 points who claimed top spot just ahead of Jean Louis Goergen.
RESULTS:
1st Place David Foster (18) – 37
2nd Place Jean Louis Goergen (22) – 36
3rd Place Glen Elsworth (10) – 35 c/b
4th Place Stu Kidd (14) – 35
