What a fantastic way to finish the week with our best turn out since we opened nearly 1 year ago.
We had 17 groups battling it out to try and win a place in the race to Phuket season 2
A massive thanks to Eastern Star who did this event proud we had the course to ourselves and it was in great condition.
Thanks to Craig McAvinue and the Tenzing team again for a fantastic day there were over 20 prizes given out as well as signed memorabilia from Ken Doherty and vouchers from the Avani Hotel.
Out of nearly 70 players only 2 of them beat their handicap which shows what a tough golf course this is especially off the white tees with the wind blowing.
Today’s winner is one of my closet friends in the world, we met over here many years ago and he is always there with words of advice or a funny story.
Congratulations to the man from Kilkenny Colm Lawlor with 40pts winning the day by 2 shots and securing his place in the Matchplay final later in the year.
2nd place went to another good friend who has supported this event from the start.
Well played Nigel Henson with 38pts and a cracking back 9 of 21pts.
3rd place was a previous winner of a Tenzing day last year and a big supporter of this day. Well played John Chello with 34pts beating Steve Richardson on a count back to get in the big prizes.
4th place was the 3 times European Tour winner Steve Richardson also with 34pts shooting 74 gross. Steve haPattaya Sports Hubfun to have around the Pattaya Sports Hub over the past 2 months he’s the most down to earth friendly guy you could meet and everyone who has been fortunate to play with him would tell you that.
5th place was the always consistent Raivo Velsberg with 33pts winning a 3 way count back with 19pts on his back 9.
6th place was another great friend of mine we only met last year but he’s always there to lend a hand or go on a golfing trip.
