Our midweek game took us to Greenwood, the C loop is closed for what looks like some major work so we played A&B, the course was in good condition with the greens especially good, also as mentioned last time, the new clubhouse is fantastic with some of the best lockers around, big improvements at Greenwood.
There had been a lot of rain overnight so we decided to play the yellow tees, still 6,000 yards but helped scoring compared to the beastly white tees.
A few light showers in the first few holes but nothing to slow up play and the rest of the round was dry and sunny.
Caspar we had one of the tightest leaderboards we have had for a while with just 1pt separating the top 4 players.
Today’s winner has been playing with us for a couple of weeks now and first time on the podium, well done to Mike Warren with a fantastic 37pts winning on a very tight back 6 CB, great round mate.
2nd place also with 37pts and just missing out on a CB was Dave Stevens, Dave’s first time playing with us, solid round mate, hope you enjoyed the day and can go one better on Friday.
3rd place today was myself with 36pts, pipping my playing partner Arthur Tatterstall on a back 9 CB, great day with Arthur, Jim and Rob.
