oday’s event was held at Pattana Golf Club & Resort, and the course was presented in fantastic condition — lush fairways, quick greens and not another golfer in sight, giving the Links Golf Society the run of the place. 
Unfortunately, the weather decided to make things interesting, with the heavens opening up on both the 3rd hole and again on the 18th, ensuring everyone finished with wet socks and a story to tell. 
Despite the drenching, some quality golf was played.
First place went to Patrick Mineque, playing off a 20 handicap, scoring an excellent 36 points in his very first round with the Links Golf Society. Winning on debut — a dangerous sign for the regulars!
Second place went to Nigel Hansen, handicap 14, with a steady 33 points.
Third place went to Bryan Warning, also celebrating his first trip to the podium, playing off 30 and finishing with 28 points. A breakthrough performance in conditions better suited to duckThe TFC AWARD for fourth went to Werner Leten being the designated driver for the day finished with a comfortable 27 points.
