☀️ Sunny Greenwood
Tuesday saw us heading to Greenwood, where we tackled the A & B loops under a blazing sun—perhaps a bit too warm for comfort. Despite Monday’s rain, the course held up well and was in good condition. We had a decent turnout with three groups ready to take on the challenge.
Greenwood never makes it easy, and true to form, it demanded our best. The competition was solid, and while the overall scores were respectable, one player stood out: Steve Lunt, who delivered a stellar performance in what may be his last game for a while. He signed off in style with 39 Stableford points.
Mark Bromwich followed as runner-up with a commendable 33 points.
As for the spoon… sadly, it found its way to Paul Carver.
Only one near pin was claimed, and that honor went to Nigel Irvine.
🐒 Bangpra
Thursday’s venue was the ever-daunting Bangpra, where only five brave souls ventured out. Whether it was the course’s notorious difficulty or the mischievous monkeys that kept others away, we’ll never know. But those who came were treated to a fine day and a well-maintained course.
We played a full competition, though it was a quiet affair—no near pins, no spoon, and just one standout performance.
Allan Cassin took the spotlight with 35 Stableford points, earning the title of Man of the Day.
