Torrential rain thwarted a full field today at eastern star golf course with a bus load of links golfers returning back to the hotel for safety .
15 brave golfers waited there time and after a long delay , they started to play. The courses condition made it an easy decision to prefer lie throughout the course and some bunkers were out of play due to the rain.
Today’s greenjacket winner was Simon Niven who controlled his game to record a very respectable 36 points to easily account for David Dunne on 31 winner on a countback from Soren Hansen also on 31 .
For the first time I can remember all 4 par 3 greens were not hit .
All golfers should be congratulated for there willingness to get wet and play golf.
