The Links Golf Society returned to Pleasant Valley Golf Course

The Links Golf Society returned to Pleasant Valley Golf Course where the wide fairways and generous greens always offer the chance of good scoring, but only for those who can keep their ball on line. The course was presented in fine condition, with the greens rolling true and the fairways giving just enough run to reward solid tee shots.
The weather was kind, with a gentle breeze keeping conditions comfortable for the players, though it was still warm enough to test everyone’s stamina over the closing holes.
On the day, two golfers stood out from the field:
🏆 1st Place – Tom Portelli (27) 38 points from the Penrith golf club
A fine round of consistent golf saw Tom take top honours, keeping his scorecard tidy and making the most of his chances.
🥈 2nd Place – John Gatt (16) 37 points from the Richmond golf club
John wasn’t far behind, playing steady golf throughout and doing just enough to claim the runner-up spot.
Third place – Tony Ross (18) 33 points from the Liverpool golf club
It was another enjoyable day both on and off the course, with plenty of good golf and great company.
