Ed obliterates field to claim first green jacket
Mid week golf saw the Links crew ventured up to the Plutaluang Navy Golf Course today .
Many of the touring golfers had never played Plutaluang before and were pleasantly surprised at the layout ,the course still needs some gentle loving care in places but you can never complain about the greens and the price of the game.
Today’s winner with a staggering 44 points ,(say goodbye to at least 2 Stableford points ) was Ed Cowan , second today was Gene Mcnutty with 34,a staggering 10 points behind the winner. Third was Jim Muccino also with 34 points , losing on a countback.
Fourth was Tony Jenkins a late blow in from Australia and fifth was Joe Lifley with 33 points.
The near pins were hotley contested with many players hitting the greens today
