he Wednesday game for the links crew was at the relative inexpensive for the quality of the course at Pattana Golf Course ,a 6600 yard course with most holes being raised making approach shots more difficult than usual .
The fairways in patches were wet and all the surrounding short mown areas around the greens were also very moist but generally Pattana is always a pleasure to play in this cooler climate conditions.
The scores indicated a very close contest with multiple countbacks needed to complete the prize money.
Today’s greenjacket winner was Paul Smith playing off 5 handicap with an impressive 39 points .
We have finally found an A graders course.
Second on 38 was another A graders in John Doyle with the third A graders in Grant Pride finishing on 37 . Fourth was Jonny Gray on a large countback with 2 others going down to last 6 holes with 35 .Steve Moxey also on 35 was fifth and Unlucky Frank McArdle finishing sixth.
The near pins were kept among the second group with Steve Moxey winning 2 and Paul Smith also winning 2 near pins
