We finished the week with a trip down to Eastern Star which was in good shape and playing difficult as usual.
We played of the white tees at 6575 yards but we got some decent run even after the heavy down pour the night before.
It’s a tough course to play and the scoring reflected it with non of the 25 golfers beating their handicaps.
Today’s winner a great guy to have around and so consistent.
Congratulations to Livio Marone with 35pts winning another tight competition.
2nd place was myself with 34pts and after a great front 9 of 20pts I limped home with 14pts but took money off Dave Heyes which is always nice!
3rd place went to one of the happiest guys you will ever meet always smiling and being daft, well played Ollie Walsh with 32pts and his first podium finish with us.
4th place went to a new comer Richard Moore with 31pts a solid display on his debut and thanks for choosing us to play your golf with.
The last spot went to my old Geordie pal Mark Johnstone with 29pts beating Roy Winter on a count back.
It was great to see more old faces coming back into town and supporting us.
